The private sector in Ngoma District has started the construction of two commercial buildings that will cost more than 1 billion Frw, which will help many of the traders to find a good place to work which will also reflect Kibungo City.
The foundation stone of this house was laid by the Governor of the Eastern Province, Gasana Emmanuel on Thursday, February 16, 2023. At the beginning, a one-story building consisting of 20 rooms will be built, costing more than 500 million Frw.
In the second phase, another building consisting of 20 rooms will be built, which will cost more than 500 million Frw.
The head of the Private Sector Association in Ngoma District, Habakurama Oreste, said that the house they started building was private individuals who joined together in Ngoma Investiment Group to raise commercial buildings that would only help their city.
He said, “We realized that as a private sector, we should participate in making our city look good, that’s why we joined together to build this house and we also play a part in making our city look good and people when they see a good place that makes them live.”
Habakurama said that the first phase will last one year and will cost more than 500 million Frw.
He said that they are currently starting a second phase study so that it will also be built so that traders can find a place to work that is good and looks good, on top of these houses they will establish a way to help them raise other houses if necessary.
The Governor of the Eastern Province, Gasana Emmanuel, thanked the private sector in Ngoma for coming together to build good business houses, telling them that the government is ready to help them in any way they need.
He said, “The province’s contribution is advocacy, counseling and campaigning, so we will be close to them so we can help them to reach as far as possible the urgent work and not stop.”
Governor Gasana told the traders that Ngoma District has a lot of opportunities, including recently built good roads, good hotels, stadiums and other infrastructure.
